Labor Relations
How we assist you Regardless of your labor policy, ever-increasing federal and state laws and regulations directly affect your company. Builders’ Association labor relations attorneys and staff provide member employers services which include:
- Assisting with labor unrest and job site actions
- Negotiating 29 collective bargaining agreements
- Handling activities arising from grievance filings
- Informing members about wage and fringe benefit increases, as well as new and proposed laws and regulations
- Representing members’ rights and interests by presenting legislative testimony and preparing bills for sponsorship
- Providing AGC and AIA construction documents and forms
- Performing fiduciary duties as trustees of the health, pension, vacation, and apprenticeship and training funds authorized by bargaining agreements
In addition, we are actively engaged in the Mo-Kan Construction Industry Substance Abuse Program (CISAP), a random substance abuse testing program for participating union locals. CISAP is designed to increase safety and productivity, contribute to quality workmanship, and lower operating costs in the construction industry.
